“Orange Navellina”

Let’s start with the first peculiarity of this delicious orange variety: inside it there is a small twin fruit. So if the orange has this characteristic, it belongs to the Citrus Sinensis variety. Considering this, we can say that both Navelina and Navel Washington belong to this type of fruit.

The ripening of the Navel orange depends mainly on the area where it is grown. In the warm regions of Basilicata and Calabria, ripening takes place between October and December. Late in the season, the orange reaches higher sugar levels and presents itself with a juicier and sweeter pulp.

The fruit has an orange color, from the delicate of the early ripening periods to an intense orange when ripe, while the skin is medium-fine. The leaves are dark green and offer a contrast with the white of the unmistakable orange flowers that rivals the best representations in art. The pulp gives a small twin fruit inside and is seedless.

The Navellina orange has both medium and large calibers. In fact, thanks to its sweet and juicy pulp and the absence of seeds, this variety of orange is recommended both for table consumption and for juicing.

The oranges are grown directly on the company’s own fields, both on the coast of Basilicata, Marconia, Ionian Sea, and in Calabria, which are also owned by the company.

The “Arancia Navellina” has a very high content of vitamins A, B1, B2, C. For this reason, it has properties that can strengthen the immune system by counteracting free radicals, detoxifying, diuretic, digestive, antioxidant, hemostatic and vasoprotective.
