Description

Born in 1963 with the idea of becoming a beer of excellence, Nastro Azzurro immediately challenged the rules of the beer style of the time, quickly becoming the most popular Italian premium beer abroad. Thanks to the suggestions created by its name, which in addition to being an identification of the sea is a reference to the award given to the transatlantic liner Rex (the Italian ship that in 1933 crossed the Atlantic in the shortest possible time), Nastro Azzurro was immediately associated with the sea and outdoor life, peculiarities that still characterize it today. The recipe remains unchanged, featuring local corn, produced only in Italy, not genetically modified and selected thanks to a collaboration with the Research Unit for corn cultivation of Bergamo, a peculiarity that, in 1965, allowed Nastro Azzurro to win 1st prize at the World Beer Selection, an extraordinary achievement if you consider that it was born only two years earlier! The journey is long and full of successes and continues in 1994, when the brand arrives in the world of motorcycling, with Valentino Rossi and, shortly after, at the Venice Film Festival; in 2005 Nastro Azzurro is synonymous with Made in Italy, distributed in 55 countries around the world and confirmed as the best-selling Italian beer abroad. Today the bright trail shows no signs of fading and Nastro Azzurro continues to be appreciated for its elegant, authentic and unique style, sealed by that unmistakable flavor made of a refreshing, hoppy and fragrant taste that goes well with the climate and cuisine of the Bel Paese: an international success!
