“Greco di Tufo D.O.C.G.” – Cantine di Marzo dal 1647
The first Greco di Tufo was born in our company almost four centuries ago. The uniqueness of this wine lies in the fact that the vines grow on soils with a high content of fossil sulphur, the same sulphur that, when extracted, brought wealth to the di Marzos in the 19th and 20th centuries.

Winning technique:
For our Greco di Tufo, the crown jewel of our winery, only the free-run must is used. The free-run must is fermented with great care in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature with selected indigenous yeasts. The wine then rests on the lees for six months to give it complexity and structure. Malolactic conversion takes place partially, depending on the natural acidity of the harvest. Before bottling, the wine is lightly filtered and stored at cellar temperature until it is judged ready for market.
Organoleptic description:
Straw yellow with delicate golden reflections. On the nose: yellow peach and apricot, flint and orange blossom, with notes of Mediterranean maquis. When opened, aromas of lime and lemon emerge. On the palate, it is an intense, fresh and savory wine with citrus notes and refreshing fruit. The taste lasts a long time, leaving exquisite notes of almond, eucalyptus and lemon peel.
Gastronomic combinations:
Due to its freshness and flavor, this wine goes very well with fish dishes such as salmon, seafood, grilled fish, but also with white meat and fresh cheese. This Greco di Tufo is also excellent as an aperitif or as a starter, thanks to the special balance between softness and hardness.
